Supporting your studies with inspiring study spaces, rich and varied collections, and expert advice.

Library Services

Queen Mary has three libraries across its five London campuses, with the largest one based at Mile End.

The department of Library Services supports learning and research, providing a range of study environments to suit different modes of study, collections across the spectrum of subjects and research specialisms both online and in print, resources and guidance on how to develop the skills you need to succeed at university, and staff who are on hand to help with questions and other support.

The extended period of 72 hours for loans of laptops in the Mile End and Whitechapel libraries is now active. For more information please click here.

We have put together information on our Welcome and Induction pages, to help you:

  • Navigate the variety of spaces, from individual silent to shared group, in our libraries and library-managed spaces.
  • Make the best use of the varied and rich collections and information sources available to you, including textbooks, research literature, databases, and archives and special collections
  • Find support to develop your academic skills such as evaluating information, reading and writing at degree level.

Need help or have questions?  There is lots of information on the Library Services website; you can also find the answers to some frequently asked questions via LibAnswers , or get in touch via library@qmul.ac.uk.
