Freedom of information and publication scheme

Freedom of information

The Freedom of Information Act aims to promote greater openness about the way public authorities operate and gives members of the public a right to access information held by public authorities. Queen Mary aims to comply fully with its obligations under the Act and to ensure that the service we provide for those wishing to gain access to information is simple, efficient and effective.

Our publication scheme

As part of our obligations under the Act, we maintain a publication scheme – a gateway to the publications and information that we make available to members of the public. The scheme is broken down into different categories of information:  Who we are and what we do, What we spend and how we spend it, What our priorities are and how we are doing, How we make decisions, Our policies and procedures, Lists and registers, The services we offer and follows the Model Publication Scheme for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Due to frequest requests, we have also published some information about Mental Health at Queen Mary [PDF 743KB] and concerning ethical investments and Israel: Israel-Palestine Information [PDF 759KB].
