Environmental Science

Interested in protecting our planet for future generations? From conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable development to tackling air pollution and flooding, you will be focused on finding solutions to the planet’s urgent problems. Taught collaboratively between the School of Geography and the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences, our Environmental Science courses will develop a strong scientific skillset and extend your interests in biology, ecology, and evolution. You will apply your new knowledge to explore novel management and policy interventions to mitigate environmental risks and restore damaged ecosystems.
I chose QMUL as I wanted to be at the forefront of research in the environmental field, and studying environmental science in the capital city has proved to be invaluable. I enjoyed being part of two Schools: this allowed me to get to know a wide range of students and staff, as well as feeling like I was getting the best teaching in specific areas.
