Environment, biodiversity and genomics

The Environment, Biodiversity and Genomics cluster addresses threats to society and the rich diversity of life surrounding us.

In order to understand how Life on Earth will respond to environmental change, we exploit and develop new technologies that collect unprecedented amounts of data at scales ranging from the global physical environment, ecosystems down to the submicroscopic level of the genome. The interpretation of this information, and the integration across these different scales requires innovations in mathematical and computational science.

This challenge therefore draws together scientists from across the Science and Engineering Faculty.
