This is a 10-week module consisting of workshops and tutorials, designed to give you a hands-on experience and individualised support. The module offers an in-depth introduction to different types of academic texts commonly used for assessment, such as an essay, report, annotated bibliography or literature review. You will study how to structure your writing, compile effective paragraphs, draw on various rhetorical tools to impress your readers, synthesise sources, include literature to support your claims and use online referencing tools.
