These programmes are designed as pathways to help you onto postgraduate taught programmes here at Queen Mary and other leading UK institutions.

If you successfully complete the relevant Pre-Masters programme and achieve the required grades, you are guaranteed progression onto a wide range of Queen Mary’s postgraduate taught programmes.
If you wish to progress to any other Masters programme here at Queen Mary University, we will consider your application on a case-by-case basis.
As a Pre-Masters programme student you are required to meet the programmes listed English language requirements. You must also give evidence of your English language ability by producing an English language test score.
For international students:
IELTS 6.0 overall with minimum 5.5 in every component (W, R, L, S).
Foundation Pre-sessional requirements - a Secure English Language Test (SELT) from an approved test centre required with score of IELTS 5.5 with minimum 5.0 in every component (W, R, L, S).
Note: The Foundation Pre-sessional is a 9 week programme and is different from the standard 9 week Pre-sessional programme.
