William has been teaching EAP at Queen Mary since 2008 and became the Presessional Programme Convenor in 2013. He has worked on the Science and Engineering Foundation Programme, delivered workshops on the Academic Study Programme and taught credit-bearing courses in Academic Writing for Associate students as part of the Insessional Programme.
Each summer he also teaches on the Presessional courses and has created learning objects for the online "Academic English Online" self-access bank of materials for Queen Mary students.
William's twenty three years' teaching experience includes time spent teaching in Turkey and Spain. Following this, he gained an MA in TESOL from the Institute of Education in 1996. Before joining QMUL, William spent six years teaching and teacher-training at the Bell Educational Trust. His current enthusiasms include embedding technology in pedagogic practice, teaching pronunciation and the role of creativity in the classroom.
