Profile

William has been teaching EAP at Queen Mary since 2008 and became the Pre-Sessional Programme Convenor in 2013. He has worked on the Science and Engineering Foundation Programme and taught credit-bearing courses in Academic Writing for Associate students as part of the Insessional Programme. He continues to teach insessional courses and also co-teaches the Multi-Media Materials Development module on the MA in ELT.

William's thirty years' teaching experience includes time spent teaching in Turkey and Spain. Following this, he gained an MA in TESOL from the Institute of Education in 1996. Before joining QMUL, William spent six years teaching and teacher-training at the Bell Educational Trust. His current enthusiasms include embedding technology in pedagogic practice, facilitating data-driven vocabulary learning and the role of creativity in the classroom.
