Diagnostic Tests

If you wish to join a beginner class (level 1a), you do not need to show your proficiency level in your chosen language.

If you wish to join a lower intermediate class (level 1b), you need to produce evidence to show your proficiency level: Completion of level 1a; or CEFR A1; or GCSE Grade C or D

If you wish to join an intermediate class (level 2a), you need to produce evidence to show your proficiency level: Completion of level 1b; or CEFR A2; or GCSE Grade A or B

If you wish to join an advanced class (level 3a), you need to produce evidence to show your proficiency level: Completion of level 2b; or CEFR B2, or As Level

If you do not have any evidence, you can use the following diagnostic tests to check your level:

ARABIC DIAGNOSTIC TEST: Elementary, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate

BENGALI DIAGNOSTIC TEST: Elementary

CATALAN DIAGNOSTIC TEST: Elementary, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate

CHINESE DIAGNOSTIC TEST: Lower Elementary, Elementary, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced

FRENCH DIAGNOSTIC TEST: Elementary, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate

GERMAN DIAGNOSTIC TEST: Elementary, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate

JAPANESE DIAGNOSTIC TEST: Post-beginner, Lower Elementary, Elementary

SPANISH DIAGNOSTIC TEST: Elementary, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate
