School Research Committee announces collaborative writing grant recipients

The School of Business and Management has announced the recipients of its Collaborative Writing Projects grant scheme, to which a total of £34,000 has been allocated.

The scheme will link current PhD students and recent doctorates with School academics, and fund them to write a collaborative article that will directly contribute to an academic journal publication.

Each of the 14 projects will be based around joint work towards a ‘spin off’ of the PhD student's research, or an entirely separate project that the academic can substantially add to.

The teams who will be working on articles together are:

Professor Liam Campling, Associate Dean for Research, said: "This scheme is intended to give a boost to our academics after two difficult years, as well as to support our PhD students to develop their writing experience and skills."

The Research Committee also agreed to spend £10,000 to provide access to the Trucost environmental risk database for all staff and PhD students, following match funding that was obtained by Chunling Xia.
