Hussain is currently an Intergovernmental Policy Humanitarian Affairs Intern for the United Nations and came to study at Queen Mary from the US. In his profile, Hussain talks about how he was able to maintain his connection to home during his studies by playing American Football with the QMBL Vipers, how he landed three separate internships at the US Congress after he graduated, and the work he’s currently doing to support humanitarian efforts in places such as Afghanistan.

Marcos Souto Ulloa, graduated with an MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and recently won a Young Innovator’s Award for developing a revolutionary material made from seaweed aimed at preventing plastic seeping into the world’s oceans. The Young Innovator’s Award recognises young people from across the UK who have the potential to become successful entrepreneurs and future leaders in innovation.

Gemma moved from Australia to London to pursue a masters degree in Heritage Management. During her degree, Gemma did four internships in different departments of Royal Historic Palaces. She graduated this year and now works as Assistant Centre Manager at a museum and library in Wales. Gemma shares her experience and favourite aspects of her course.

Bekeme Masade-Olowola studied International Human Resource Management MSc and is the Founder and Chief Executive of CSR-in-Action, a conglomerate of 3 businesses with a mission to redefine the sustainability terrain in Africa. In 2022, Bekeme added a new role to her CV, as President of CSR-in-Action's Canadian subsidiary. Here, Bekeme talks about her start as an entrepreneur, her stint on The Apprentice Africa and what it’s like to run the leading Corporate Social Responsibility firm in Nigeria.
