Managing Your Software - Software Centre

By clicking the start button and typing <img src="" alt="By clicking the start button and typing " software="" centre",="" you="" can="" find="" it="" in="" the="" start="" menu."="" style=" ">1. Click on the Start Icon at the bottom left corner of your computer and begin searching for Software Centre. Click on the result that appears



2. When the Software Center opens, you will have a list of available software under the Applications tab
Note: By changing the view with the buttons in the top-right, you can select multiple applications to Install.

Software Centre is the standard portal for installing software via the Applications tab






3. Clicking any app will present you with a dedicated page to self-manage the application. Please note, that not all actions are necessarily available (e.g. An enforced application will not allow you to uninstall it). Please read any instructions you might find before running any actions, as behaviour can sometimes vary from app to app.

The Application Page displays actions you can take, like Installing, Uninstalling or Repairing. You can also find app metadata undereath.






4. The Installation Status tab will show the progress of the applications being installed and the history of past installations.

You can check the status of application installation via the Installation Status Tab in Software Centre




5. At this point you can close the Software Center and launch your newly installed application. Some software may require a reboot. You will be prompted for a restart if this is necessary.
