Study in Beijing and London and receive degrees from both Queen Mary and University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

We are proud to partner with University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS). This partnership allows us to offer students the chance to study in London and Beijing and get degrees from both institutions. 

 

As a student at UCASS, there are various ways you can join us at Queen Mary:

Via the 1+1 route: For students on a 2-year Masters degree. Complete Masters Year one at UCASS, then take Year two at Queen Mary studying one of our Masters degrees, which will also complete your home Masters degree. You may be able to take advantage of the Graduate Visa under this route – click the link at the bottom of this page for further information.  

 

Via the 1+1+1 route: For students on a 3-year Masters degree. Complete Masters Year one at UCASS, take Year two at Queen Mary studying one of our Masters degrees, then return to UCASS for Year three and completion of the UCASS Masters degree.

 

Both of these routes are open to students on masters programmes within the following UCASS Schools: 

  • School of Philosophy
  • School of International Politics and Economics
  • School of Chinese Language and Literature
  • School of History
  • School of Sociology and Ethnology
  • School of Marxism Studies
  • School of Government
  • School of Business
  • School of Applied Economics
  • School of Journalism and Communication
  • School of Foreign Languages
  • School of Law
  • School of Economics
  • School of Global Education and Development

These routes apply to masters programmes in the following Schools at Queen Mary:

  • School of Economics and Finance
  • School of Business and Management
  • School of the Arts
  • School of Society and Environment (incorporating the Department of Politics and International Relations, Department of History, and Department of Geography and Environmental Science)
  • Centre for Commercial Law Studies
