As a student at SDU, there are various ways you can join us at Queen Mary
Via the 4+1 route: Students who have completed a bachelors degree from SDU in the School of Economics are able to apply for a masters programme in the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary.
Via the 1+1+1 route: Complete Masters Year one at SDU, take year two at Queen Mary studying one of our Masters degrees, then return to SDU for Year three and completion of the SDU Masters degree. This route is open to students on the following SDU masters programmes:
- MA Political Economics
- MA Finance
- MA Western Economics
- MA Industrial Economics
- MA World Economy
- MA International Trade
- MA National Economics
- MA Quantitative Economics
- MA Public Finance
- MA Investment Economics
- MA Insurance
- MA Finance (2-year)
- MA International Business (2-year)
- MA Taxation (2-year)
and applies to masters programmes in the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary.
This can also be studied as a 2+1 route, with Masters Year 1 and 2 at SDU, then take Year 3 at Queen Mary studying one of our Masters degrees, which will also complete your home Masters degree. You may be able to take advantage of the Graduate Visa under the 2+1 route – click the link at the bottom of this page for further information.
For students on the 2-year SDU masters programmes, this route may also be studied as a 1+1, with one year at SDU and one year at Queen Mary.
Via the 3+M route: An innovative new route which allows you to study 3 years of the 4-year Bachelor degree at SDU, and apply to join Queen Mary in the fourth year to study one of our Masters degrees, thereby completing your Bachelor and Master within 4 years, offering you a significant time and cost advantage.
This applies to students on the following Bachelor programmes at SDU, for entry to the associated Masters programmes in the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary:
- Finance (International Experimental Class) for entry into MSc Economics; MSc Finance; MSc Finance and Machine Learning; MSc Investment Banking
- Economics (Top Talents 2.0, Xue Muqiao Class) for entry into MSc Economics; MSc Finance; MSc Finance and Machine Learning; MSc Investment Banking
- Philosophy, Politics and Economics for entry into MSc Economics; MSc Investment and Finance; MSc Investment Banking
