Angeliki Lampropoulou is a PhD candidate in the Language Centre, School of Languages, Linguistics and Film. Her doctoral research, funded by a full QMUL research studentship, focuses on the ways in which diabetes management and prevention are framed through metaphor in news media and personal accounts, in the UK and Greece.

Thesis title: The framing of diabetes management and prevention in the UK and Greece: A critical metaphor analysis of online news media and patient narratives.
