Setting a Precedent with Open Resources Development in English for Specific Academic Purposes (Alannah Fitzgerald, Martin Barge, Saima Sherazi and William Tweddle).

Delivered at the 2015 biennial BALEAP Conference, at the University of Leicester, in which we presented and demonstrated the ESAP Law collection of texts and text analysis activities built at Queen Mary.

2014

Investigating an open methodology for designing domain-specific language collections

This presentation, delivered by Dr Saima Sherazi at the EUROCALL 2014 Conference, at the University of Groningen, reports on our collaboration with Alannah Fitzgerald (Concordia University, Canada and The Open University) on the development of an ESAP collection in FLAX for students taking a Critical Thinking and Writing in Law In-Sessional course at Queen Mary and those following the Law Pathway on the summer Pre-Sessional programmes.

2013

Norwegian Forum for EAP, 2013: Technology-enhanced learning

The theme for the 2013 conference was technology-enhanced learning. The keynote talks were by Martin Barge, Jessica Cooper and William Tweddle from the Queen Mary, University of London Language Centre. They presented the development of 'Academic English Online', a resource of online EAP materials, which are freely available to students and educators. Access presentations here.
