Profile

Maria started her teaching career in Buenos Aires, where she taught English language and English history at international schools. She also lived and worked in Italy for two years before moving to the UK in the early 2000s. Maria has taught English for Academic Purposes at private higher education institutions such as London School of Commerce and ONCAMPUS London, where she held the position of Course Leader for English. She also taught EAP to MBA students at the University of Chester and Anglia Ruskin university. She holds a Master’s degree in Education with Applied Linguistics and her areas of interest are EAP for science and engineering and the use of technology in the EAP classroom.

Maria joined Queen Mary in summer 2021 for the pre-sessional, and now teaches various in-sessional modules, including ‘Economics and Finance in Action’, and modules in the Science and Engineering foundation and the International Foundation Year.
