CCLS supported me so I could attend an arbitration masterclass organised by the Energy Charter Secretariat (ECS). CCLS funded my travel, lodging and entrance so I could attend the event.
This financial support was beneficial to me. As an energy professional, I was able to visit ECS and get specialised training on energy disputes with diplomats from all over the world. It not only helped me gain global exposure but also helped me to build my networks with them.
Also, the arbitration masterclass opened up many other opportunities for me and I was selected for an internship at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). This was probably because I had attended the masterclass.
