Postgraduate (PG) Law Mentoring

Our highly competitive professional mentoring programme, which you must apply for, covers the full range of specialisms that we offer. Successful applicants will benefit from the opportunity to communicate with industry professionals as their mentors over a set period of time, and we will always try our best to match you to the mentor that best suits your career goals.

Our mentors work across a variety of legal sectors and they come from mid- to senior-level positions. Students gain invaluable insight into how to navigate the crucial steps in applying for, and succeeding in, a first role in industry. Our senior-level mentors provide years of experience, often across sectors and fields. We’ve deliberately recruited a diverse pool of mentors to cater to the diverse goals of our students.

In the future, you could become a mentor yourself. Around 40 per cent of our mentors are our alumni, many of whom were our overseas students. You could therefore benefit from working with a mentor who has walked the same path as you.

For students not on this mentoring programme, we offer other opportunities to engage, network with and learn from industry professionals. One example is our speed mentoring provision, which gives you an insight into networking and setting up a mentoring relationship yourself.
