Why did you choose to study at CCLS?

For starters, CCLS was one of the only schools offering an LLM programme in Insurance Law. Secondly, Professor Philip Rawlings, the man who literally wrote the book used to study the course, was teaching the programme.

What is your favourite memory of being a CCLS student?

Form induction to graduation, there wasn't a day I would change. The exposure in terms of the faculty and the cohort is invaluable to me professionally and personally. I have a network of friends and peers I can reach out to globally on a professional footing, if and when the need arises. On a personal front, I have built relationships that have lasted through time and distance. I have to say that my favourite memory is of being at the library with friends and syncing up our study schedules so we got to spend more time together.

What does being a member of the CCLS community mean to you?

It is an opportunity to create a peer and professional network globally that you can reach out to any time you need.

How did your CCLS experience contribute to your career?

I had 6 years of experience before I took a break to go back to university and had worked on a fair amount of multinational contracts, but my time a CCLS ensured that I had more finesse in my negotiation skills. The course provided me with academic context to mitigate risks in an efficient and amicable manner.

Why do you think prospective students should study at CCLS?

I think that CCLS offers a fantastic opportunity to grow on an academic, professional and personal level. The programmes are structured in a way that allows you to have a well rounded experience.
