The Centre for Teaching and Innovation (CTI) at the Institute of Dentistry, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, is a newly formed academic and research Centre that brings together individuals and groups who are involved in the development, delivery and research into the provision of the highest quality clinical education.
Currently staff within the Centre play key roles in the development and the delivery of teaching and assessment within dental curricula, and as such they hold a wealth of knowledge and resource in all aspects of education. Grouping together such staff in the CTI is intended to capitalise on these resources, leading to transformation of this knowledge into high quality research outputs and encouraging the development and implementation of educational innovation across the entire Institute. This will ultimately contribute to the learning experience of our students, enabling them to enjoy a world-class education, utilising modern technologies and proven educational methodologies as they start out on their clinical careers. It will also enhance the academic experience and career development of staff.
