"The Institute of Dentistry is situated in Whitechapel in the heart of London’s historic East End. Our students are from a diverse population with many nationalities and cultures represented. We have partnerships with several high ranking Universities throughout the world, and we are keen to engage with other partner institutes. These partnerships allow for collaboration to flourish in the fields of research, teaching and scholarship."

Student Testimonials

I have always had the desire to pursue Dental Public Health (DPH) as a career pathway, due to my deep interest in novelty. DPH is not developed as a career pathway for dentists in Ghana, with very few people trained in the field. I chanced upon the Dental Public Health, Policy, and Leadership (DPHPL) offered by the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) IN 2021 during a search for related MSc programs. I applied, went through the interview, and was granted an offer of admission. However, I did not have the required funds to undertake the program for the 2022 academic year, and therefore requested a deferral for a year. In 2023, I was notified of the availability of the Commonwealth Scholarship for Distance Learning, applied, and was elated to be nominated.
— Makafui Dawoe, MSc. Dental Public Health, Policy and Leadership
Being awarded a scholarship from Queen Mary University of London is a tremendous accomplishment for me. Coming from a country where there is a tremendous need for improvement in the public health sector, it has always been my aspiration to attend one of the world's top universities and gain knowledge of the best practices to bring back home to Pakistan. Thanks to the Commonwealth scholarship, this aspiration became a reality for me.
