On the evening of 22nd November, around 200 students and members of staff from the University and Barts Health attended the inaugural Celebration of Culture and Diversity in Dentistry at the Octagon. The many cultures and nationalities represented at the Institute were on display. This was a diverse and colourful celebration with food, music, dancing and live entertainment, along with inspiring speeches from Professor Farida Fortune and Dr Farook and Dr Barakaty from Afghanistan. We plan to make this event an annual affair with even more cultural and national student societies being represented!
