Become a Postgraduate Law Mentor

Postgraduate (PG) Law Mentoring is a programme that connects postgraduate law students with a legal practitioner who can support their professional development.

Two people having a conversationWith guidance from their mentor, we hope our students can gain insight to further develop their employability skills and increase their confidence when joining the labour market as a graduate.

As a PG Law Mentor, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Involve yourselves with the work of Queen Mary Postgraduate Law School.
  • Offer students insights into new or different career advancement approaches.
  • Reflect on your career progression.
  • Gain recognition for your skills, knowledge, and contribution as a mentor, developing your professional profile.
  • Raise the profile of your organisation among legal professionals, staff members and students.
  • Support postgraduate law international students in understanding the UK legal profession, and qualifications.
  • Expand your global professional network with other legal practitioners.
