Mile End Clinical

The Centre of Experimental Medicine and Rheumatology (EMR) undertakes clinical activity and patient consultations at Mile end hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust.

The Clinical Research team based in Mile End hospital consists of Rheumatology Consultants, Clinical Fellows, Research Nurses, Clinical Trial Practitioners and Coordinators who work together using their individual strength to achieve a common goal and provide the best care to patients. The research team carry outpatient visits and provide a platform to deliver clinical trials for the purpose of developing future innovative therapeutic and diagnostic approach for inflammatory pathologies such as Rheumatoid arthritis. In particular, the team helps to deliver precision medicine clinical trials in inflammatory arthritis.  The NHS inflammatory arthritis clinic run in Mile End and Jubilee Ward has been key to facilitate the implementation of tight control and targeted treatment approach in patients with inflammatory arthritis.

 

Together with the expertise of the multidisciplinary team and regulatory guidelines, we ensure data integrity and patient safety is the heart of our work.
