  • Law Progression Scholarship

    Queen Mary’s Centre for Commercial Law Studies is pleased to be able to offer a progression scholarship for graduate LLB law students from Queen Mary and other University of London institutions.

    The scholarship applies to those who have achieved a 2.1 or above in their LLB Law degree and is subject to checks by our admissions team.  

  • Women in Economics and Finance PGT Scholarship

    Access to education is one contributing factor leading to the underrepresentation of women in Economics and Finance. Therefore, the objective of this programme is to help address this situation by providing opportunities for women globally to continue with their studies in Economics and Finance. 

     

  • Postgraduate Bursary Scheme provided by the Stationers' Foundation

    The Stationers' Foundation offers bursaries annually to postgraduate students on the courses listed below. Successful students receive a bursary of up to £9,000. Every effort will be made to offer mentoring during their studies, from an appropriate member of the Stationers’ Company.

    On successful completion of their Masters programme Bursary Recipients will be offered the Freedom of the Stationers’ Company and will be expected to participate in the life of the Company. Payment of the annual membership fee will be waived for the first three years.

    The Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, usually known as the Stationers' Company, is one of the livery companies of the City of London. The majority of company members work in, or supply, the paper, print, publishing, packaging, office products, newspaper, broadcasting and online media industries.

    The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences are pleased to offer multiple funded PGT studentships to talented UK applicants from a Black and Global Majority background who may be interested in a research career and/or further postgraduate study.

  • Progression Scholarship (Undergraduate to Postgraduate Taught)

    Our award is for Queen Mary University London Home fee-status students looking to study a postgraduate taught programme within the School of Economics and Finance and covers the difference between the UK fee and the UK Masters Loan.

  • MSc Economics Scholarship

    To be eligible for the Scape Scholarship you must meet the main criteria:

    • Be able to demonstrate with evidence that you are estranged from your family, a care leaver or a care experienced student (Scotland).

    In addition you must also:

    • Be applying for a full-time undergraduate degree offered by Queen Mary University of London, to be studied in person
    • Be holding a firm choice offer from Queen Mary
    • Have been assessed as eligible for home fees by Queen Mary

  • British Council Women In STEM Scholarships

    Women in STEM scholarships offer women researchers from eligible countries the chance to continue their studies in STEM with a one-year, fully funded scholarship to complete a master's degree at a UK university. 

  • China Scholarship Council Scholarships

    Queen Mary is one of the largest supporters of the China Scholarship Council (CSC) in the UK and awards 60 joint QMUL-CSC PhD scholarships every year.

  • Sanctuary Scholarship 2025/26

    Queen Mary University of London is offering tuition fee and maintenance support for up to two undergraduate students who are asylum seekers or have a temporary immigration status awarded as a result of a claim for asylum but outside of the immigration rules, studying on degree programmes in the Faculty of Science & Engineering or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

    The Students’ Union Talented Athlete Programme aims to support high-performing athletes who are studying for a world-class degree at Queen Mary.

  • Sekforde House Trust Scholarship

    Applicants must have a place at Queen Mary University of London. The scholarships are available for existing students at all levels as well as students who have places to study. Students applying will be assessed against the Sekforde House Trust criteria.

  • Masters Scholarships

    Our Masters are worth £3,000 for highly qualified home postgraduate taught offer holders joining us in September 2025.

    ANII (National Research and Innovation Agency of Uruguay) and Queen Mary are co-funding postgraduate scholarships for Uruguayan students to study any 1-year Masters or PhD programme. 

  • Jean Monnet Scholarship

    The Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme aims at increasing the number of experts in the EU field and supporting Turkey’s administrative capacity-building efforts for the effective implementation of the EU acquis.

  • Colfuturo Scholarships

    COLFUTURO is a Colombian non-profit foundation that provides financial support and increases the possibilities of Colombian citizens to access high-quality postgraduate study programs abroad.

  • Egyptian Bureau for Cultural & Educational Affairs- PhD Scholarships

    Queen Mary is delighted to be working with the Egyptian Bureau for Cultural & Educational Affairs to offer PhD scholarships across a variety of disciplines.  

  • Commonwealth Split Site Scholarships

    Commonwealth Split-site Scholarships are for candidates from low and middle income countries, as classified by the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), in the Commonwealth, to conduct research at a university in the UK for 12 months.

     

  • Marshall Scholarships

    The Queen Mary Marshall Scholarship is made available each year for one US citizen wishing to pursue postgraduate study.  

     

  • Chevening Awards

    Queen Mary works closely with the Chevening - the UK government’s international scheme aimed at developing global leaders - to provide a large number of full scholarships for study on any of our one-year Masters courses.

     

  • Studienstiftung (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes)

    Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (The German Academic Scholarship Foundation) is Germany's largest and most prestigious scholarship foundation.

  • UK BAME PhD Studentships

    Fully funded PhD studentships for applicants who are from a British black, asian or ethnic minority background.

  • Commonwealth PhD Scholarships (low income countries)

    Commonwealth PhD Scholarships are for candidates from low and middle income Commonwealth countries, for three years of full-time doctoral study at a UK university.

     

  • Becas Pronabec- Presidente de la Republica

    National Program of Scholarships and Educational Loans (PRONABEC), funds Peruvians to study for a Master's or Doctorate studies at the 400 top universities in the world.

     

     

  • ANID (Becas Chile)

    Queen Mary part-funds a number of awards in conjunction with ANID (National Agency for Research and Development). This scholarship is available to Masters and PhD applicants from Chile, in any subject.                                                                                                                                  

  • HSS PhD Studentships 2024

    We are offering fully-funded PhD studentships in all areas that fall within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences for September 2025 entry. Part-time applicants and current first-year students are eligible to apply. 

  • Queen Mary MABECS Outstanding Achievement Award

    Queen Mary University of London, in partnership with MABECS, is pleased to offer two full fee scholarships to outstanding Malaysian postgraduate taught master's students for the 2025/26 academic year.

  • Unite Foundation Scholarship

    Queen Mary University of London works in partnership with the Unite Foundation to offer accommodation scholarships to young people who are care experienced or who are estranged from their families. The scholarship provides up to three years of free, year-round accommodation at Rahere Court.

  • Islamic Development Bank Scholarships

    Queen Mary has partnered with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) to fund PhDs in our Faculty of Science and Engineering and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

    This is a means tested scholarship for permanent residents in the London Borough of Hackney who have lived there for at least three years.

  • Aldgate and Allhallows Foundation Scholarship

    This is a means tested scholarship for permanent residents in the inner district of City of London or London Borough of Tower Hamlets who have lived there for at least three years.

  • William Spilsbury Scholarship 2025/26

    This is a means tested bursary for permanent residents (at least three years) in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney.

  • Sally Sainsbury History Scholarship

    This is a means tested bursary for permanent residents (at least three years) in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney.

  • Queen Mary Annual Fund Scholarship

    This is a means tested bursary for permanent residents (at least 3 years) in the City of London, the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, the London Borough of Newham or the London Borough of Hackney or students who have attended the Drapers' Academy Sixth Form in the London Borough of Havering.

  • London Borough of Tower Hamlets University Bursary

    This is a means tested bursary for residents in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets of at least 3 years unless you are a refugee on the Ukraine or Afghan scheme.

  • CONAHCyT Scholarships

    CONAHCyT (Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología) offers scholarships to Mexican students wishing to study postgraduate programmes in a broad range of subject areas. As a proud partner of CONAHCyT, Queen Mary University London welcomes a diverse cohort of Masters and PhD students every year.

    Additionally, scholarship opportunities are also available through the jointly funded CONAHCyT-FUNED and CONAHCyT- FIDERH schemes.

     

  • Bentham-Moxon Trust B.A. Krukoff Fellowship Bursary in Tropical African Botany

    A fully funded bursary is available for a student to study on the MSc in Plant & Fungal Taxonomy, Diversity and Conservation. This opportunity is aimed at students with an interest and background in tropical African botany.

    The aim of the Economics and Finance Placement Scholarship is to support home students from the School of Economics and Finance with a low household income to take the year in industry programme.

  • Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust Bursary

    The Trust awards bursaries of up to £5,000 a year for UK university postgraduate students, who are in financial need, and whose parent or spouse is a commercial traveller, pharmacist or grocer, or the applicant themselves are employed in this capacity.

  • Asylum Seekers Fee Concession

    We pleased to offer a tuition fee concession to all asylum seekers or children of asylum seekers who meet the eligibility criteria. 

  • Pakistan HEC-QMUL PhD Scholarships

    Queen Mary University of London, in partnership with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan will offers up to 15 scholarships per year to Pakistani students wishing to enrol in PhD research programmes at Queen Mary.

  • Vasyli Award, Royal College of Podiatry for Podiatric Sports Medicine

    This award was created after the founder of the Vasyli Foundation and world-renowned podiatrist, Phillip Vasyli, passed away in 2015. As part of his legacy, he wished to further the education of podiatrists in the field of podiatric sports medicine.

    It is available to UK resident Podiatrists to gain a Postgraduate Diploma or an MSc in Podiatric Sports Medicine at Queen Mary University of London.

     

  • Energy & Climate Change Law Institute Scholarship

    The Energy & Climate Change Law Institute is pleased to offer two partial tuition fee scholarships of £7,500 each for the September 2024 intake, for students wishing to follow the LLM in Energy and Climate Change Law.

  • Roy Goode Scholarship (Postgraduate Law)

    This prestigious award is bestowed in honour of the founder of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies, Professor Sir Roy Goode. The successful scholarship candidate will receive a half tuition fee waiver.
