BL Malta First Aid Society

Welcome to the BL First Aid Society at Queen Mary, Malta Campus, your gateway to learning essential life-saving skills and becoming an invaluable member of our QMUL and Maltese community!

The society's primary focus is to provide knowledge and a gateway to comprehensive first aid training in cooperation with the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps (ERRC). Whether you are a beginner or already have some experience in first aid, once you have completed the basic first aid course, a wide range of courses tailored to your interests and skills level are offered by the ERRC for you to choose from.

As a member you will:

  • Have access to experienced and certified instructors who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise. They will guide you through the various aspects of first aid, including basic life support, CPR, wound management, fracture stabilization, and many more life-saving skills.
  • Also have the chance to gain certifications recognised both locally and in the EU, enhancing your professional opportunities and personal development in the world of healthcare.
  • Have the opportunity to participate in talks, workshops, and training sessions that simulate real-life emergency situations. These practical exercises will allow you to develop the necessary confidence and competence to respond effectively in times of need.
  • Actively engage with the local community through various initiatives - by providing assistance during festivals, community and sport events, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those around us.
  • Become a part of a supportive network of like-minded individuals who share your passion for helping others, forging new friendships, collaborate on meaningful projects and contribute to creating a safer and healthier environment for all.
