Maths and stats

If you’re starting a course that involves maths or statistics, you might feel a bit out of practice by the time term starts. If you do want to brush up on your numerical skills over the summer, below are some useful free resources.

The Khan Academy offers free courses on specific areas of maths, and we also recommend Brilliant. It offers a range of courses on core topics such as mathematical foundations, scientific thinking and statistics fundamentals. Here are some of the courses we think might be particularly useful.

YouTube tutorials

YouTube is home to lots of useful videos that can help you understand different principles. This channel, TheTrevTutor, covers many areas of maths.

I’m finding this YouTube channel incredibly helpful for my Maths and Stats degree.
