How did you find the teaching and learning?

My LLM at Queen Mary was one of the most rewarding years of my academic career. I got to study interesting courses and write a dissertation on my dream topic, thus learning new things and developing my existing Intellectual Property knowledge throughout the year. I was particularly happy with the remarkable quality of the teaching at Queen Mary. The academic staff are experienced professionals dedicated to their students – without their knowledge and guidance I would not have achieved the amazing results that I did. Even though most of the teaching was online, this did not hinder my experience.

What influenced your decision to study at Queen Mary?

In addition to the high quality of teaching and amazing courses on offer, I chose to study at Queen Mary because of qLegal. Volunteering at qLegal gave me a much better understanding of the realities of industry and how to help businesses see the benefits and value of IP rights. Learning to apply my IP knowledge while helping make a difference for small businesses was an incredible experience, and one of the highlights of the year. qLegal gave me confidence in my legal and soft skills and proved definitively that I am in the right field and in the right profession.

What piece of insight or advice would you offer for future students?

If I could give one piece of advice for future students, it would be this: This is your year – give it your all and enjoy the ride.

Would you be willing to share your Testimonial? If so, you could help a prospective student to make an informed choice to study at Queen Mary. (Class of 2020, 2021 and 2022 only).
