This article, leading with the arrest of Professor Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian, explores the crackdown on free speech around the conflict in Israel at Universities there, with over 100 Palestinian students, 80% women, arrested in the three weeks following Hamas’ attack.

Neve Gordon is Professor of Human Rights Law and Penny Green is Professor of Law and Globalisation is at Queen Mary University of London.

They go on to explore how many Palestinians have been disciplined at their Universities, more than their overall numbers would lead you to expect. Read the full article on The New York Review (subscription required).

Professor Gordon was also featured in Le Monde discussing Israel and the mounting risk of University boycotts (in French), and appeared on KKFI to talk about War Crimes, Crimes Against Humanity and Genocide in Gaza.
