What are you doing now in your profession?

I am a Co-Founder of ARTISTSM which is located in Bangkok, Thailand. ARTISTSM is an artistic centre where we connect and educate about intellectual property, copyrights and other legal issues related to arts, artists, the collectors and any legal perspectives. Furthermore, we aim to be a place where we communicate and comprehend knowledge about the new digital art medium, AI etc. The art market is not reserved solely for artists, buyers and sellers. It is another significant industry filled with millions of people and billions of dollars inside the industry. ARTISTSM collects, selects and publishes important information and also provides knowledge and support for anyone who wants to step into the art world.

How did studying at CCLS help you in your career?

I was working as a full-time marketeer in London and part-time art curator for Thai artists before I decided to take the CCLS course in Art, Business and Law. While I was working as a curator for many Thai artists, I found that many of them lack needed information and knowledge in legal and business affairs. This was one of my biggest turning points in my life. I wanted to do something to develop the art industry system in Thailand and encourage Thai artists into the global market. I actually gained an LLB in Bangkok and an MA in Fine Art in Scotland. So, I made a decision to further my studies at CCLS. The idea of ARTISTSM had been created during that time. The Art, Business and Law course gave me proper structures and experiences in the art field that I had never learnt before.

Do you have any fond memories of your time at CCLS?

As a postgraduate student, I had the opportunities to meet friends from all over the world. I gained the opportunity to learn from other cultures. As a person who works the in art and creative industry, I had a chance to experience a variety of cultures and to explore new perspectives in the art fields.

Do you have any recommendations for other women studying for a postgraduate degree?

Do not just stay in the library and study all day! Dare to play. Explore the world! Your new and great opportunities usually come from outside the square room where you sit and read all day. It might be a cliché but “Work Hard and Play Harder”! Don’t only play or work only.

Do you have a message for women reading the article on International Women’s Day?

It is never too late to do anything. Do not be afraid to explore the world, or to do anything you want to do. And most importantly, do not be afraid to fail. If you're afraid to fail, then you're going to miss out on a lot of opportunities for growth. Failure is essential for growth – both personally and professionally.

Has there been any particular woman who has inspired you in their career?

I do not have any specific or particular person who directly inspires me. But I am a lucky one. I have got inspiration from people around me, from everyone. From that point of view, it helps me a lot in my career.
