India Chapter

The CCLS India Chapter aims to facilitate professional networking and socialising opportunities by bringing together alumni in India from across different year groups and different specialisms together.

The India Chapter is being led by Ajit Mishra (Intellectual Property Law LLM, 2005), Partner, Harrison Clark Rickerbys and Special Economic Advisor to Magdeburg, Germany. Ajit is being ably supported by a strong committee.

The India Chapter was formally launched on 26 November 2020 by former Chief Justice of India, Mr Dipak Misra, at an online event hosted by Professor Ian Walden.

The first anniversary of the Chapter was held on Friday 26 November 2021. Mr Dipak Misra joined the committee, alumni, students and Friends for the special occassion. Mr Misra is now Patron of the Chapter.

Chapter events organised by the committee are advertised on the CCLS Alumni Events page. Updates on recent events which have taken place can be accessed from the past event listings.

Please join the Chapter to ensure you are updated about events and activities.

After the grand launch of the CCLS India Chapter on Constitution Day, the Committee is looking forward to organising frequent events, to keep the baton moving. Many stalwarts including former Justices, Senior Legal Practitioners, Academics have agreed to extend their support. The first tranche of events shall be conducted virtually until the situation allows us to gather physically. We will have events monthly and quarterly including webinars and conferences with a diverse range of speakers to engage alumni with varied interests. We strongly encourage you all to participate in chapter activities. The committee is always open to new ideas and thoughts on chapter activities. Do reach out to the committee with your suggestions and please spread the word about the chapter among your networks.
