Profile

I’m Dr Hayley Derricott, a Senior Lecturer in Basic Medical Sciences, and the leader of the Anatomy team in Malta. I am also responsible for our year 2 Cardiorespiratory and Locomotor modules. An additional role of mine is the Deputy Head of Student Support, meaning I look after the pastoral needs of our students here in QMUL Malta. I have a long-standing interest in the teaching of anatomy, and we have fantastic facilities for doing so here, as well as research interests in intestinal organoid models and placental inflammation. I am a keen diver, so love the surroundings of Gozo - the opportunities here for water sports are unbeatable.
