Law and Business Society (LaBS)

The Law and Business Society at Queen Mary is the only on-campus society that is fully affiliated with two faculties: The School of Law and The School of Business Management. As such, we are a society that focuses on providing events and forums of discussions on the intersections between law, business, and their interplay in other fields (science, tech, etc).

The aims of the Society are:

  1. To foster the interaction of students interested in the links between law, business and society.
  2. To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information related to law and business at domestic and international level.
  3. To organize events encompassing the different areas where the interaction between law and business becomes evident, including ones with members of the professions, academics and policy makers.
  4. To provide the opportunity for net working with students and professionals, not just from the legal world, but also from the business, entrepreneurial and other interdisciplinary lines of work.

If you are interested in a legal career in the non-legal world, or in learning more about how the law plays a key role in business professions, then our society is right for you. Our events range from bringing in directors of the biggest banks in the world, to workshops and panel discussions with professionals, and exclusive social networking events at various locations throughout the city.
