Professor Penny Green talks to Monacle 24
Penny Green, Professor of Law and Head of the Department of Law at Queen Mary University of London, spoke last week with Monocle 24 on the recent Myanmar elections as well as the domestic and foreign popularity of Aung San Suu Kyi. She said: "Her [Aung San Suu Kyi] foreign image is different, in some sense she has a lot of internal support, although not within the ethnic communities because she's continued to marginalise those communities and her military commit gross acts of violence against those ethnic groups particularly in the border regions."
