Indus News interviewed Professor Neve Gordon about silencing pro-Palestine voices. He said: “What we are witnessing today is an attempt to conflate criticism of Israel’s rights abusive policies and of Zionism and Anti–Semitism. What the defenders of Israel’s colonial project are trying to do is to stifle any kind of criticism by claiming that those who are coming out against the Israeli policies are anti-Semites, so it is actually a change in the way we understand Anti-Semitism. Anti–Semitism in its original form was a form of racism redirected primarily against Jews in Europe and today it is a form of stifling the speech of those who are supporting the liberation struggle of the Palestinian people.”
