Professor Penny Green, Head of the Department of Law at Queen Mary, has given an interview to the Monocle podcast in which she discussed the plight of the Rohingya in Myanmar. “The UN fact finding team provided compelling evidence of a genocidal campaign against the Rohingya in Myanmar. It is an incredibly important piece of work with a huge body of evidence,” she said. Professor Green also gave insights into the possibility of Myanmar facing action in the International Criminal Courts. “The UN Security Council would need to do the referral and China will always block any such referral,” she added.
