The CCLS Kenya Chapter exists to create a CCLS community organised by alumni for alumni. Its purpose it to facilitate professional networking and socialising opportunities among alumni. It will bring together alumni who graduated from CCLS over the years and from all the different specialisms.
It is with great sadness that we have been informed that alumnus Jack Hillary Ojiambo (International Commercial Arbitration LLM, 2007) sadly passed away on Saturday 20 February. Jack was enthusiastic to set up the Kenya Chapter and we plan to organise the next event in his memory.
The Kenya Chapter is chaired by Sharon Odeny (Commercial and Corporate Law LLM, 2020). There is a Committee of volunteers. If you are interested in joing the committee to help develop the Kenya Chapter’s activities, please contact us.
On 17 November 2020, Professor Rosa Lastra joined the late Jack Ojiambo to launch the Kenya Chapter via a Zoom event.
We hope that the CCLS Kenya Chapter will grow into a formidable knowledge net that contributes to thought leadership in current and emerging areas of the law.— Sharon Odeny (Commercial and Corporate Law LLM, 2020)
