The collaborative doctoral award was based between the National Portrait Gallery and Queen Mary University. I have received awards from the Lewis Walpole Library, the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art and the British Federation of Women Graduates. I am pursuing my research into popular uses of portraiture within the long campaign for democratic reform. As well as being a Teaching Fellow in SED, I am also the Assistant Curator at the National Portrait Gallery where I work on the contemporary commissioning programme. I am also the director of the collective AMP Art.
