Rethinking Pedagogy

A programme of participatory workshops for reflective educators

The Rethinking Pedagogy Educator Seminar Series is an opportunity to for all Queen Mary educators to network, brainstorm and collaborate in the Queen Mary Academy Taught Programmes learning community.

The sessions follow an iterative 'campfire' format with a 10-15 minute idea presentations followed by informal conversation, storytelling and debate.

Rethinking Pedagogy programme 2023/24 - Semester A

  • Friday 6 October 1-2pm - Ignite Integrity - Building a Culture of Academic Integrity in Classrooms, Faculties and Institutions. Guest speaker: Dr Zeenath Khan, University of Wollongoing in Dubai. 
  • Wednesday 18 October 3-4pm - Becoming a Social Justice Educator. Olu Popoola, Queen Mary Academy,  Jen Randall, Wolfson Institute of Population Health and Daniela Tavasci, School of Economics and Finance. 
  • Tuesday 31 October 3-4pm - Creative Enquiry. Professor Louise Younie, Institute of Health Sciences Education.
  • Friday 17 November 1-2pm - Closing the awarding gap. Dr Luigi Ventimiglia, School of Economics and Finance.
  • Friday 8 December 12-1pm- Experiential Learning. Guest speakers: Dr Alexia Bowler and Dr Adele Jones, Swansea University. Book your place
