We support innovation in pedagogy, working with Schools and Institutes and individual innovators and facilitating communities of practice so that everyone involved in education can see themselves as an innovator and can celebrate and evidence their achievements in pedagogic innovation.
We provide bespoke support for Schools and Institutes and work with individual members of staff, for example those leading Westfield funded projects and Queen Mary Academy Fellows.
We support those who are new to innovation through workshop and resource provision, for example on the different modes of delivery offered by Queen Mary, maximising staff and student engagement with blended and online delivery, including the large-scale adoption of MME.
This culture builds on the momentum and achievements of our education during the COVID-19 pandemic, when all staff had to innovate and adapt their practice at a rapid rate. We build and support communities of practice around innovation, creating opportunities for educators to share their practice.
We support the creation of communities of practice to build up scholarship around our strategic pedagogic priorities, including Learner Engagement Analytics, digital pedagogies, and instructional design. As a hub for such scholarship activities, we support staff in evaluating and communicating their work.
