Innovation and Scholarship

We support innovation in pedagogy, working with Schools and Institutes and individual innovators and facilitating communities of practice so that everyone involved in education can see themselves as an innovator and can celebrate and evidence their achievements in pedagogic innovation.

Supporting innovative pedagogies

We provide bespoke support for Schools and Institutes and we support educators in testing and piloting new pedagogic approaches including:

  • Immersive Learning
  • Learner Engagement Analytics (LEA)
  • Mixed Mode Education (MME)
  • Peer-led Team Learning (PLTL)
  • Team-based Learning (TBL)

Fostering a culture of innovation

This culture builds on the momentum and achievements of our education during the COVID-19 pandemic, when all staff had to innovate and adapt their practice at a rapid rate. We build and support communities of practice around innovation, creating opportunities for educators to share their practice.

Embedding a culture of pedagogic research and scholarship

We support the creation of communities of practice to build up scholarship around our strategic pedagogic priorities, including Learner Engagement Analytics, digital pedagogies, and instructional design. As a hub for such scholarship activities, we support staff in evaluating and communicating their work.
