Our QMplus modules have been created by the Teaching and Learning Team in collaboration with current Queen Mary students. Here you can get recommendations on interesting books, films and podcasts in your subject area; learn more about what life is like as a Queen Mary student; and get advice on where to access the support needed for you to succeed in your degree course. Just click on one of the links below that most closely matches with the area you are studying in. Just log into QMplus as normal and click 'enrol me'.

The Academic Skills Team can help you develop your academic reading, writing and organisational skills. You can access one-to-one appointments and workshops to make sure you are confident in your academic work. 

Information Skills

The Faculty Liaison Librarian Team provide training and support to help you get the most out of what the Queen Mary Library Services has to offer.  Library Services provides access to the academic literature (books, journal articles and more) that you will need to use to successfully complete your studies.

Maths and Statistics Support

If you need support with your Maths or Statistics, you can book a one to one appointment with an adviser or attend a workshop. You can also check out our Maths and Statistics tutorial before you start to get a head start in this subject area.  

Royal Literary Fund (RLF) Tutors

Would you like to receive advice on your writing from professional writers? You can book up to a 50 minute appointment with one of our Royal Literary Fund tutors who offer individual guidance on written assignments to Queen Mary students from all academic backgrounds.   

 

If there's a reading one week in the slides, try to find things within it specific to what you're being taught. Find the relevant parts, learn how to skim read and find the sections that are important.
