Cataloguing the many thousands of letters in the Lyttelton family archive is underway in the Archives.
Already, only a couple of months into the project, some very interesting letters have been uncovered. The Lyttelton family had lots of connections to well-known people. As the collection spans from the 1860s to the 1940s, it shows the impact of many historical events on one family. Over the coming months the Archives will be highlighting some of the intriguing and interesting stories that have been found whilst undertaking this cataloguing project.
