The module focuses on the law of the United Kingdom (and the European Union) relating to those forms of intellectual property that are sometimes described as industrial property. It covers (i) patent law, (ii) the law of trade secrets, (iii) the law of registered trade marks and (iv) the tort of passing off. Particular attention will be paid to areas of current controversy in the law.
