This module addresses the major creative industries, the way they operate and their impact on the national global economy, with a particular focus on the interplay between intellectual property protection and the industries' business environment.
This module will analyze various contentious issues in the law surrounding the creative industries with a focus on intellectual property. A number of specific creative industries will be examined as well as famous' persons rights over their name and image and the commercialization of such rights. The module is international in scope, looking at a variety of jurisdictions according to significance and relevance to particular industries.
