Professor Rosa Lastra pens paper on communication in monetary policy

Professor Lastra has been invited to discuss her paper at the Preparatory Meeting of the Monetary Dialogue between the European Parliament and the European Central Bank.

Professor Rosa Lastra, Sir John Lubbock Chair in Banking Law at Queen Mary University of London, was commissioned to write a paper for the European Parliament (ECON) on communication in monetary policy in her capacity as Expert Member of the Monetary Panel. The Panel advises the European Parliament in the Monetary Dialogue with the European Central Bank (key mechanism of parliamentary accountability for the ECB). The paper is available on the EP website.

On the basis of this paper, co-authored with Sara Dietz, Professor Lastra has been invited to contribute to the Preparatory Meeting of the Monetary Dialogue, 7 February, between the European Parliament and the European Central Bank.

A recoding of the meeting is available on the EP website on 2 February 2022 from 10-11:30am GMT - (11am to 12:30pm EDT).
