Book online

You can book some of our appointments yourself online using QM Careers Hub

If you are unable to find an appointment slot online, please don’t hesitate to call us on 020 7882 8533 as we may have other appointments available that are not visible online. Please note that we do not arrange appointments via email (except if you are abroad and unable to call in to the UK, in which case we can then arrange the appointment via email at careers@qmul.ac.uk).

Graduates: If you have just graduated, you can still access QM Careers Hub, however your student details will no longer work and you will need to register for an alumni account. Once you have registered, the Careers team will approve this and merge your existing student account with your new alumni account so you don’t lose any of your profile. If you have any questions, please contact careers@qmul.ac.uk.

Careers appointments are currently being conducted remotely via MS Teams and on campus.

Before you book to have your CV checked...

To get the most out of your Application Advice appointment, we recommend you first use our QM CV checking tool, and then book an appointment where an advisor can help you tailor your CV and application to a specific job opportunity. This online tool allows you to build a CV from scratch, or upload a CV and receive personalised feedback.

How to prepare for your appointment

Any documents you would like the advisor to look at during the appointment (for example a CV) need to be sent to careers@qmul.ac.uk at least 60 minutes before your appointment. Advisors will not look at these documents in advance, but will review them with you during your appointment.

Virtual appointments

Before your virtual appointment, you will need to either download the MS Teams App onto your mobile or tablet, or download the MS Teams desktop version onto your computer.

Students

If you are a student with an active QMUL email address, please log into MS Teams ahead of your appointment and wait for your Adviser to call you. You will need to sign in to MS Teams using the following format: username@qmul.ac.uk e.g. csw063@qmul.ac.uk.

Graduates

If you are a graduate using a non-QMUL email address, you will receive a calendar invitation from careers@qmul.ac.uk inviting you to a meeting on MS Teams at your appointment time. At the time of your appointment, please follow the calendar invitation link and join the meeting.
