Careers and Enterprise

Book an appointment

We continue to support our students & alumni as the COVID-19 situation develops. All appointments will be conducted remotely via skype. To book an appointment call us on 020 7882 8533 as usual. All workshops and events will be run online. This is to look after the health of our community during the current COVID-19 outbreak. We encourage everyone to use our online career resources and digital tools and to keep up to date with us on Twitter and Facebook.

To book a Skype appointment please call us on 020 7882 8533. If you are unable to get through to us, please send us an email at careers@qmul.ac.uk with your phone number, and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible to schedule your appointment.

Once you have booked a Skype appointment you will need a Skype account. You will need to using the app or web version of Skype, not Skype for business as this is not compatiable. On the morning of your appointment, or at least an hour before, please email us at careers@qmul.ac.uk with your SKYPE ID, this begins with 'live:' followed by some letters and numbers. If your appointment is for application advice, you also need to attach the document you would like reviewing.

Please note that we do not arrange appointments via email (except if you are abroad and unable to call in to the UK, in which case we can then arrange the appointment via email).

We're open from 9.30-5pm Monday to Friday and we offer 20 minute Skype appointments daily. Bookings can be made up to one week in advance (one appointment at a time).

Appointments can cover any careers query, including:

  • CV & application feedback
  • Finding and applying for work experience, part-time work or graduate jobs
  • Deciding what to do after graduation
  • Practice interviews
  • Reviewing your video interview answers on InterviewStream
  • Starting your own business

If you have any queries, please get in touch via careers@qmul.ac.uk.
