Profile

Leo Robertson leads on our engagement with Public Sector Employers as a representative from the Careers and Enterprise department. He has responsibility for Employer Liaison and Engagement. He works with Employers, Schools partnership Teams, Careers Consultants, Steering groups & Programme leads to help to embed employability into the curriculum. He also uses his valuable ‘industry’ experience to supplement modules and learning with employability offerings.  

Before coming to QMUL, Leo attended the University of Brighton to study Politics and Social Policy. His most recent experience centres around managing The Local Government Association’s National Graduate Programme (NGDP). Prior to that, he was a regional lead (Lewisham, Southwark & Greenwich councils, Goldsmiths UoL and the DfE) for a Postgraduate fast track programme for Children's Social Work (Step up to Social work- South East London regional partnership)

Managing programmes from start to finish, leading on recruitment, inclusion and being the point of contact for stakeholders and partners puts Leo in a position to advise students, academics and other staff on large public sector graduate recruitment processes.

Leo spent a year abroad teaching English in Hanoi, Vietnam. He likes travelling the world, playing and watching sports for example Tennis and football and cycling.
