Inverting the inverted pyramid: Writing about Germany as an Anglo-German "foreign" correspondent

In 2012, Hamburg-born Philip Oltermann wrote Keeping Up with the Germans, a book exploring Anglo-German relations from a British perspective. Since 2016, Oltermann has been reporting about German politics and culture for The Guardian from Berlin. In his talk he will explore how Brexit and Corona have changed relations between the two countries, and the cultural differences between two journalistic traditions.
