Module assessment - improving summative assessments

Formative assessment

When you use formative assessments that are linked to QMPlus, LEA can paint a picture of learner activity including, when combined with QMPlus logins, if learners have actively engaged with online content prior to their assessment. This allows proactive action to take place and ensure learners are focused on what is required. 

If you use QMPlus quizzes, LEA will be able to show where learners have attempted, completed or abandoned the assessments. This can be useful when looking to refine question style, wording or format.

If you use QMPlus forums for reflective formative assessments, engagement with these activities can also be obtained in your QEngage dashboard. LEA information from formative assessments is especially useful when leading up to summative assessments as you can ensure your learners are ready. 

Summative assessment

When you use QMPlus Assignment for summative assessments, LEA can show submission data, including date and time.  It can also be helpful when considering what level of assessment guidance to provide pre-assessment.
